Married First Daughter Leaves Note for Philadelphia’s Eli Ricks, Who Called Her “Beautiful” During White House Visit

PHILADELPHIA — Ivanka Trump, daughter of President Donald Trump, made an unexpected visit to the Philadelphia Eagles’ training facility at the NovaCare Complex on Friday, stirring chatter among fans and players alike. The visit, accompanied by her youngest son, Theo, came in response to a series of social media posts by Eagles cornerback Eli Ricks, who had openly admired Ivanka’s appearance during the team’s White House visit last month to celebrate their Super Bowl LIX victory.

Ricks, a 23-year-old undrafted free agent who appeared in seven games for Philadelphia last season, caused a stir on April 28 when he posted on X, “Donald Trump daughter is beautiful damn,” followed by, “After seeing her in person Ivanka is exactly my type.” The comments raised eyebrows, given Ivanka’s high-profile marriage to businessman Jared Kushner, with whom she shares three children—Arabella, Joseph, and Theo.

Undeterred by the player’s bold remarks, Ivanka appeared to take the compliment in stride. On Friday, she shared glimpses of her visit to the Eagles’ locker room via Instagram and X, including a photo of Ricks’ locker adorned with a handwritten note she left for the absent cornerback. The note read, “Stopped by to say hi! Sorry to miss you! Go Birds! Ivanka.” The playful gesture, signed with the Eagles’ rallying cry, was met with a mix of amusement and curiosity from fans.

“Missed you today,” Ivanka captioned her X post, tagging Ricks and adding a lighthearted nod to the team. The visit also included family moments, as Ivanka shared photos of Theo exploring the practice field and interacting with star running back Saquon Barkley, further endearing her to Eagles supporters.

The Eagles’ White House visit on April 28, where Ricks first met Ivanka, was itself a notable event. Several key players, including quarterback Jalen Hurts and wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, skipped the trip, citing scheduling conflicts. Ricks, however, made his presence felt, posting an Instagram Story mimicking President Trump’s fist-raised pose in front of a mural commemorating the president’s survival of an assassination attempt in July 2024.

While some fans praised Ricks’ confidence—“This is the kinda swagger we need in our secondary,” one X user wrote—others noted the awkwardness of his comments given Ivanka’s marital status. Ivanka, for her part, seemed unfazed, using the visit to showcase her connection to Philadelphia’s fervent fanbase and her knack for turning a potentially awkward moment into a public relations win.

The Eagles, fresh off their Super Bowl triumph over the Kansas City Chiefs, are preparing for the 2025 season, with Ricks vying for a larger role in the team’s defensive backfield. Meanwhile, Ivanka’s visit has added a touch of White House glamour to the NovaCare Complex, leaving fans wondering if Ricks will respond to her note—or if the story will take another unexpected turn.
