Biden’s “Non-binary” official stole suitcase and used for month after dumping woman’s clothes
A nuclear official from the Biden administration, who identifies as non-binary, allegedly stole a woman's suitcase from the Minneapolis airport. The accused individual reportedly emptied out the clothes and used the bag for an entire month before returning it – all while claiming that they had simply picked it up by accident.
Court documents allege that Sam Brinton, one of the federal government’s first gender non-binary officials, snatched a Vera Bradley suitcase valued at $2,325 from baggage claim at Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport on Sept. 16.

Nearly a month later, when police confronted Brinton--who uses they/them pronouns--they denied stealing the bag. They insisted their clothes were inside the suitcase at the time.
Brinton, the deputy assistant secretary for spent fuel and waste disposition at the Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Energy, initially said they had taken the luggage by mistake but then retracted his statement.
According to the court filing, Brinton told police that they first realized that the bag wasn't theirs when they opened it at the hotel.
