Donald Trump Announces He’s Running For President In 2024

Former US President Donald Trump has launched his bid for the White House, "America's comeback starts right now,” he declared.

He went on to say "We have to save our country." The announcement was directed at an invited audience in the ballroom of his private club in Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.

That Tuesday night, Former President Trump said: "We are a nation in decline… For millions of Americans, the past two years under Joe Biden have been a time of pain, hardship, anxiety and despair."

He went on to say "In order to make America great and glorious again, I am tonight announcing my candidacy for president of the United States."

Before he delivered the speech, he formally declared his presidential candidacy by filing paperwork with the Federal Election Commission and he set up a fundraising account.

His supporters gathered and waved Trump 2024 flags outside Mar-a-Lago.

The speech lasted for over an hour and he touched on many of his common themes.
