Elon Musk is being investigated by US federal authorities for his conduct with Twitter acquisition

Which seems like another witch-hunt, federal authorities are investigating billionaire Elon Musk's attempted takeover of Twitter Inc. according to a court filing in Delaware on behalf of the social media platform, according to reports at Bloomberg.

As Potter Anderson Corroon LLP's attorneys mentioned in an Oct. 6 filing that was unsealed on Thursday.

“Elon Musk is presently under investigation by federal authorities for his conduct in connection with the acquisition of Twitter."

According to the attorneys, Twitter is requesting documents that Musk has already handed over to authorities. “Through counsel, he has exchanged substantive correspondence with those authorities concerning their investigations."
