Elon Musk is now the owner of Twitter and gets straight to work by firing the CEO and CFO
Elon Musk is now the owner and CEO of Twitter. After months of going back and forth, court battles, and legal battles, it all comes to an end today, and the Musk era for Twitter begins.
Earlier today Elon had a meeting with the staff at Twitter and it seems that he won't be firing 75% of the staff that was rumored to happen. Shortly after, the news broke of Elon finalizing the deal and officially becoming the new owner of Twitter.
It's reported that Musk's first action as the owner was that he fired the CEO, the CFO, and the head of legal policy, trust, and safety.
Earlier today he tweeted a message to Twitter advertisers, saying that "Twitter obviously cannot become a free-for-all hellscape."

This is a huge shakeup for Twitter, liberals are scrambling to understand what could come next for them. Will Trump come back? Will the right-wing now have a voice? Will it be a true free-speech platform?
