Elon Musk tired of the “lords & peasant” situation “Power to the people!” Blue badge for $8/month.

Elon Musk took to Twitter today to address the current questions about Twitter's blue badge situation.

A few days ago there were rumors surrounding a $20/month plan to keep your verification status.

Today he addressed it all in a thread:

"Twitter’s current lords & peasants system for who has or doesn’t have a blue checkmark is bullshit.

Power to the people! Blue for $8/month."

"Price adjusted by country proportionate to purchasing power parity"

"You will also get:

- Priority in replies, mentions & search, which is essential to defeat spam/scam

- Ability to post long video & audio

- Half as many ads"

"And paywall bypass for publishers willing to work with us"

Currently most people love the idea of the $8/month plan, but there are some blue badge gatekeepers who have a problem with it.
