Envelope Containing Suspicious White Powder Sent to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg recently received an envelope containing a suspicious white powder. The letter was sent to the Manhattan district attorney's office in Lower Manhattan on Friday, court officials said.
The FBI and NYPD are investigating the incident, which comes after former President Donald Trump warned of violence in a Truth Social post. The post was made shortly before the letter was sent to Mr. Bragg's office. Many Americans believe this is another J6 style setup from the desperate left to get Trump on anything.
“Hate has no place in New York City and these offensive and damaging actions will not be tolerated,” said Mr. Bragg in response to the incident.
Mr. Bragg is currently leading an investigation into Mr. Trump for possible criminal charges related to his time as president. This has been met with resistance from some members of Congress, who have called for Mr. Bragg to recuse himself from the case due to his political affiliations and views on criminal justice reform.
It is unclear at this time whether or not there is any connection between the envelope sent to Mr. Bragg's office and his investigation into former President Trump, but authorities are continuing their investigation into the matter as they take steps to ensure that similar incidents do not occur again in the future.
