Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said she will not be running for President in 2024.
On Tuesday, former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced that she will not run for President again in 2024, after her two failed attempts in 2008 and 2016.
After a news anchor asked Hillary Clinton if she would ever run for President of the United States again she responded by saying
"No, no. But I'm going to do everything I can to make sure that we have a President who respects our democracy and the rule of law and upholds our institutions."
The anchor went on to ask the former Secretary of State, "What if Donald Trump runs again?"
She responded that former President Donald Trump "should be soundly defeated" if he decides to run again.
Hillary Clinton lost to Donald Trump herself during the 2016 presidential election. Her campaign was marred by accusations of scandal after the news broke that she had a private email server while she was serving as Secretary of State during the Obama administration- which prompted a long FBI probe.
Mrs. Clinton said she would endorse President Joe Biden if he runs against Doland Trump in the 2024 elections.
"Joe Biden beat Donald Trump in a huge, landslide victory in the popular vote. I think that says a lot," said Hillary Clinton on television in late June.
