Soccer Legend Cristiano Ronaldo Signs With Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr

Al Nassr FC, one of the oldest and most prestigious soccer clubs in Saudi Arabia, has announced that global superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has signed with the team in a deal worth a reported $200 million. This move will make Ronaldo one of the highest-paid players in professional soccer, and it is also thought to be the largest contract ever offered to a player.

The news was released on Twitter, along with a photo showing Ronaldo holding up a No. 7 jersey with his name printed on it. The Portuguese forward's contract will run until June 2025 and will give Al Nassr access to one of the greatest players in history.

Ronaldo is no stranger to success. He has won five Ballon d'Or awards throughout his career and has made over 700 appearances as a professional soccer player during his time at Sporting Lisbon, Real Madrid, Manchester United (twice), and Juventus. He also holds many individual records such as the most goals scored in European competition (134) and the most UEFA Champions League titles (five). 

Al Nassr FC was founded in 1955 in Riyadh and has since gone on to win nine Saudi Premier League titles. The club currently sits second behind Al Hilal in the league standings but with the addition of Ronaldo, they may have what it takes to challenge for top honors this season. 

Ronaldo's signing is sure to be celebrated not just by Al Nassr fans but also by fans around the world who will now have an opportunity to cheer him on from afar.
