With Twitter’s new subtle roll out, its now harder for trolls to see who paid $7 for the blue check

Updated: Apr 3

With the ever-changing Twitter verification system, there's been a subtle but huge update recently. As of today, trolls will no longer be able to tell who has or hasn't paid for the very sought-after verified blue check.

When the paid verification process was rolled out, soon after Elon Musk took the helm, many trolls began to ridicule users who paid for the check with memes. Now whether you were legacy verified or Twitter Blue verified, all blue checks are currently made equal. When you tap the blue badge it states:

"This account is verified because it's subscribed to Twitter Blue or is a legacy verified account. Learn more"

Many people are excited about this, It gives average users, and independent media a bigger voice on the platform and levels the playing field.
