Jacksonville Jaguars Rookie and Wife Share Joyful News in Emotional YouTube Vlog

August 27, 2025 – Jacksonville, FL -
Jacksonville Jaguars rookie Travis Hunter and his wife, Leanna Lenee, have added a new title to their lives: parents. The couple announced the birth of their first child, a baby boy, in a heartfelt YouTube video titled “Dear Son…” released on August 27, 2025. The nearly three-minute vlog offers an intimate glimpse into their journey from discovering the pregnancy to the emotional moment of their son’s arrival, captivating fans just days before Hunter’s NFL debut.

The video begins with Lenee, 23, and Hunter, 22, in their bathroom, joyfully reacting to a positive Clearblue pregnancy test. “Wait, is it going?” Lenee asks as they dance with excitement. The montage includes ultrasound images and a gender reveal moment, with Lenee sharing a prophetic February 2025 dream she documented in her phone: “Baby was a boy with lots and lots of curly hair.” She confidently told Hunter, “I knew it was going to be a boy.” The couple kept the pregnancy private until this announcement, a decision reflecting their desire for personal space amid Hunter’s rising fame as the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Filmed moments before the draft show Hunter and Lenee discussing their future, with Lenee saying, “We’re going to find out where Daddy’s going to be,” and Hunter adding, “And where you’re going to grow up.” The video culminates in hospital footage, with nurses coaching Lenee through delivery and the sound of their newborn’s cries filling the room. Hunter, laughing, exclaims, “That baby look just like me!” before praising his wife: “You did good.” The vlog ends with a simple note: “Dear Son, We love you. Love, Mom and Dad.”

Hunter and Lenee, who met at Collins High School in Suwanee, Georgia, have been together since 2022, navigating Hunter’s college career at Jackson State and Colorado. They got engaged in February 2024 and married in a lavish Tennessee ceremony in May 2025, attended by 250 guests, including Hunter’s father, Travis Hunter Sr. The couple faced public scrutiny, including false cheating rumors in 2024, which they firmly debunked. “Anyone who knows me knows I support Travis in everything he does because I truly love that man,” Lenee said in a December 2024 video.

Fans on X celebrated the news, with posts like, “Travis Hunter’s already a legend on the field, and now he’s winning at dad life!” Another wrote, “That YouTube video is so sweet. Congrats to Travis and Leanna!” The announcement comes as Hunter, the 2024 Heisman Trophy winner and a two-way star, prepares for his first NFL season with the Jaguars, set to face the Carolina Panthers on September 7, 2025.

The couple has not disclosed their son’s name or exact birth date, but the announcement has warmed hearts across the NFL community. As Hunter balances his dual role as a wide receiver and cornerback, he now has an extra reason to shine: a newborn son cheering him on. “You gotta be better than me,” Hunter told his son in the vlog, a message that resonates as he embarks on this new chapter of fatherhood.
